Nod 32 eset Anti virus Eset : NOD32 AntiVirus - Hot

Everybody needs antivirus protection of some sort on their machine these days. And the choice you have is immense. From the big names like Norton to free software like AVG. But one product that has quietly been making a name for itself is NOD32. Is this software as good as many people say? Here's our review.

The company behind NOD32 is ESET. This Slovakian company was formed in 1992 as an Internet security company and NOD 32 remains their flagship product.

The product has a number of claims to fame. First it is a very fast piece of software to use. It does not need much in the way of memory or CPU resources so it will not slow your machine down. Secondly it is very effective. It is the only piece of software that has never missed an 'in the wild' virus since 1998.

Using the software is very simple. Once configured, you can just leave it to do its thing quietly in the background. You will see periodic messages to let you know that the software has performed an update to detect the new viruses. This all happens without you having to get involved so there is no chance of you forgetting to update your software.

You also have access to an on demand scanner. I find this useful for checking every new file that comes onto my computer before I open it. This may be a file passed from a colleague or something that is downloaded from the Internet. The interface used to be one of the letdowns of this software but this has been improved with the new version 3.0.

You'll be glad to know that your email is also protected so you won't have to worry about malicious programs getting through. Still, it is good practice to be wary of any emails from people that you don't know especially if they have an attachment.

This is a very useful piece of software that is ideal for home and business users. Hot or Not? This one's definitely hot.
